Threats to our natural heritage

The main threats to biodiversity and natural heritage within the city are pollution (air and water pollution, dumping of rubbish), drainage of wetlands and habitat destruction. Invasive alien species are another threat that may become more important in the context of climate change, particularly in our waterways.
